First Steps Daycare was established in 1993 and consisted of just one classroom. Over the course of the following 5 years, First Steps Daycare saw a substantial amount of growth and a second class was added. Later, after much progress a third classroom for children aged three-to-four year-olds was included. In January 2018, a fourth classroom for Pre-Grade R aged children was added to accommodate a thriving community preschool Programme. Currently, First Steps is a daycare for children aged 4 months to 5 years of age. Our Programme is structured in a way that the children are stimulated and exposed to various age-appropriate activities in order to encourage healthy, individual growth and development. First Steps is an inclusive daycare and therefore is open to all ethnic and cultural groups and does not discriminate against any child or their family.
